Understand in Seconds
The purpose of Heliotics is to help people, companies and cities save money, time and effort by using smart technology that works quietly in the background.
🌐 What is IoT
The Internet of Things (IoT) connects everyday objects to the internet, allowing them to send and receive data. Imagine if your fridge, garden soil, or thermostat could share updates, helping you manage them smarter and more efficiently.
📡 What is LoRaWAN
LoRaWAN is like a superpower for devices to talk to each other over long distances without needing a lot of energy. LoRaWAN works by using special gateways that act like mail carriers, picking up the messages from these sensors and sending them to your phone or computer. This process uses very little power so the devices can run for years without needing new batteries.
📶 What is NB-IoT
NB-IoT is very similar to LoRaWAN, only difference is that NB-IoT uses same internet towers that your phone uses to talk to devices. NB-IoT connects devices directly to mobile operator networks without needing extra equipment like gateways.
🧠 What is LNS
A LoRaWAN Network Server (LNS) is like the brain of a LoRaWAN network. It's the part that listens to all the messages from sensors and makes sure they get to the right place. Imagine you have a bunch of devices sending you messages. These messages go to gateways, like the post office, and the LNS is the central mail sorter. It checks the messages, makes sure they are not duplicated, and then sends them to the right app or dashboard where you can see them.
